LOVE the food here everyone is so nice and the restaurant was clean and attentive. We have been here a few times with the family and even my very picky child loved it!

So, we just moved back and wanted to try something different. 2 of our meals were as to be expected. The Chicken Fried Steak and French Toast was decent. Then came the waffles. The first round came out under cooked with raw dough in the middle. Though I hate to ever send food back we did and got back 2 more waffles which were also undercooked. Neither of my
Kids would eat their breakfast and finally we just gave up and left. We were hoping this was a viable option for a meal from time to time but we won't be returning.
On the plus, the staff was friendly and restaurant was clean. -

Eppie's Restaurant is a great place to eat breakfast. It is right off the freeway I-80 exit last exit before Davis and first exit if coming from Davis. I had the breakfast sampler and it was goooood! No wonder this place has been open for a loooonnng time. Fast and friendly service with order right on the nose.

I found my experience dining here very pleasant. The service was really good and staff, friendly. The food was delicious (my patties on my protein style hamburger was a bit burnt. The tuna melt was also very good.

Server got in an argument with the cooks over who should make my toast. She apparently didn't want to plug in her toaster. So my food came without toast. I asked for it sometime later and she went to the window. I didn't hear what was said. Soon she came with toast. Wheat "toast" not browned at all, not fully buttered, and not hot enough to melt what butter was there. I didn't eat it. She cleared and didn't say anything. When she brought the bill I asked if she noticed - not toasted, not buttered, and the butter not melted. She said she didn't notice. Wrong answer. The cooks retaliated against her by screwing up my toast. I don't know about others but I don't enjoy eggs without toast. Kids can make toast. Disappointing. Enough for me to tell the tale.
